Monday June 25, 2007, in the premises of the
Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia,
Belgrade, Milana Rakića 5, at 13:00, a new
modern information desk was inaugurated as
an attempt to offer all users and friends
of the Office a more pleasant atmosphere and
sophisticated access to our capacities.

PRICE INDEX in Serbia |

The
Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia
with the support of the EU organized the
presentation of the new official CONSUMER
PRICE INDEX in Serbia on 31 May
2007, 11.00 a.m. at the Tanjug International
press center.
The participants at the presentation included
the representatives of experts and general
public, the government ministries, the National
Bank of Serbia, institutes, university faculties,
chambers of commerce, trade unions, student
unions, the national organization of consumers,
commercial banks, public utility enterprises,
etc.
The following participants talked at the
presentation: Dragan Vukmirovic, SORS Director
– Harmonization of statistical
system, Tatjana Stanojevic-Miladinovic,
Head of SORS Price statistics division –
Retail price indices,
Vojislava Balaban-Bozic, Head of SORS Retail
price statistics section – Consumer
price index and Isabelle de
Pourbaix, ISTAT Project leader, who gave
the final speech.
The event had the large media coverage of
22 reporters and seven TV agencies.

“TOWARDS NEW STATISTICAL SYSTEM -
Partnership in the development of national
accounts in Serbia” was jointly organized
by the Italian National Institute of Statistics
and the Statistical Office of the Republic
of Serbia.
The project is carried out in cooperation
with the statistical institutes of Italy,
Sweden and Hungary and the objective is to
help the development of national accounts
in Serbia and the Gross domestic product methodology
and also the subject harmonization with the
international standards...

USAGE OF INFORMATION – COMUNICATION
TECHNOLOGIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA, 2007

On September 25, 2007, the publication titled USAGE OF INFORMATION – COMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA, 2007 was presented in Media Center.
Since this publication encompasses the greatest survey referring to the mentioned topic, up to now, containing about 130 pages and over 100 tables, the presentation was attended by the representatives of the specialized magazines from this subject, the media representatives, but also by the representatives of high educational institutions, whose work relates to certain issues from the field of information – communication technologies. Total number of guests was about 60.
Besides the previously mentioned representatives of the specialized magazines, this conference was also covered by the media, RTS, TV Avala and TV Enter.
